Story
My name is Nancy Lara, I'm originally from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico
I'm 19 years old.
approximately 3 years ago my family decided to immigrate to US, due to the insecurity that Monterrey is facing in the last years.
That Transition was so painful, because I had everything there, my entire family, my friends, and my cheerleading team, practically there my life was complete, I was about a year to go to college. And when I got here in my first day of school they told me that they have to put me back in 9 grade, hear that really hurt me, because I was 16 years old, I literally cried everyday for like 3 months because all my friends in Monterrey were about to go to college and I had returned 3 years, That was very frustrating, I felt impotent. I totally missed Monterrey.
At first when I got here my first school was Akins HS, but they sent me to International high school, because I didn't have enough English.
When I got there I felt so nervous, I didn't want to be there, all I wanted was go back to Monterrey. Another thing that was killing me was that I arrived Austin in March so the scholar year was about to end. When I got to the classroom everybody was looking at me, that made me so nervous. I remember a substitute teacher was there and he started to talk to me in English, that made me red like a tomato, but after that somebody translate everything he was saying. I was so thankful.
Then I start to have friends from many places of the world, because was an International high school, but I was still depressed, they were excellent people but I missed my friends and the people from Monterrey.
The next year when I start my 10 grade, my brother went to the same school as me, at least I didn't feel alone anymore, and also that year I met to a group of people from Monterrey and different parts of Mexico, everything was getting better, sense then we have always been together, they are really awesome, especially my best friend I don't know what I would do without her.
I pass through 10 grade, I learned innumerable things, different cultures, foods, races, dances, languages, scriptures and I realized I was good at playing the drums.
at International HS can only be the first two years of high school, I only stayed there a year and two months, and I enjoyed it, everybody there were great people. and my friends? they came with me fortunately.
Then for my 11 grade I transferred to Akins high school, and guess what? the stress return.
Akins it's a huge school and that is something seriously intimidate.
At first I was too shy, but then I made new friends, by the way they also were learning English I felt so comfortable with them, they are such a good friends.
The most challenging part here is the language, for me is frustrating because as everybody knows, I'm still struggling when I try to speak English.
Now I'm about to graduate, it make me proud because

The main point of this article is the bad season that Texas is having.

Club de Fútbol Tigres de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, commonly referred to as Tigres de la UANL, or simply Tigres, is a Mexican professional Soccer club based in San Nicolás de los Garza, a city located in the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. Founded in 1960, the club has spent most of its history in Liga MX, the top level of the Mexican football. Tigres has won the Liga MX three times, in 1977-78, 1981–82, Apertura 2011, and the Copa MX two times, in 1975-76 and 1996.
Tigres is the official team of Nuevo León's public university, the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. The team plays home games at the Estadio Universitario. Since its founding, the team wears the colours of the University, gold and blue.
It is one of the two professional Soccer teams of Nuevo León. Tigres have a long-standing rivalry with C.F. Monterrey, with whom they have contested the Clásico Regiomontano since 1974.
The 2012–13 UANL season is the 66th professional season of Mexico's top-flight football league. The season is split into two tournaments—the Torneo Apertura and the Torneo Clausura—each with identical formats and each contested by the same eighteen teams. UANL began their season on July 20, 2012 against Chiapas, UANL play their home games on Saturdays at 7:00 pm local time.
Throw-in: When the soccer ball has gone out of bounds, the team
that last touched the ball loses possession and the opposing team gets
to throw-in the ball from the point where the ball crossed out of
bounds.
Corner kick: When the defending team last touches the ball and it crosses the goal line (and not scoring a goal), the opposing team gets to kick the ball from the corner of the field.
Goal kick: When the offensive team last touches the ball before it crosses the goal line, the goalie gets to kick the ball from the goal box.
Penalty kick: When a foul occurs in the penalty area, the fouled team is awarded a penalty kick.
Soccer Fouls
Soccer fouls can be any number of unfair advantages taken by a player that are called by the referee. These can include tripping, pushing, and touching the ball with the hands. Free kicks or penalty kicks may be awarded to the opposing soccer team. Very unsportsmanlike behavior may result in a yellow card or a red card. Players that get red cards are ejected from the game.

The rather embarrassing occurrence when a player directs the ball (presumably by accident) into their own goal.

Six yard deep lined area immediately in front of the goal. Goal kicks are taken anywhere from inside the goal area. The goal area is fully within the larger penalty area.

The sweeper is a defensive player positioned between the fullbacks and the goalkeeper. Intended to roam freely and “sweep up” the ball across the field, this player usually acts as the on-field coach directing the defense and allows the fullbacks to push forward to aid the offense. Usually a tough and gritty player with speed and a willingness to make contact.
Stopper
The stopper is a defensive player positioned between the midfield and fullbacks (sometimes the center fullback) to stop attacks up the middle. This player is often designated to mark the opponents’ most potent scoring threat.
Striker
The striker is an offensive player, usually the center forward, known to have a strong shot. Quite often the player to take the most shots on goal.
Winger
The wingers are the left and right forwards whose main job is to center the ball to teammates in scoring position.

Feature Story Project Part 2
Part 2:
1. A mountainous and long maned senior lineman.
2. Populated by various straps and buckles, wadded-up scraps of athletic tape, wet towels, discarded eye black, random shoes, iPods, inside-out socks, gray garbage cans with Copenhagen spit on the plastic liners and the invisible hopes and prayers of 98 teammates/
3. Other players removed their helmets, wiped sweat from their faces, swigged blue Powerade from paper cups.
4.The coach was calm, wholly paternal, with measured words of reassuring faith.
5.No one conversed. They unraveled tape, swore, stared at nothing, held their heads in their still gloved hands and fired the tape in balls across maroon-tinged carpet of the dressing room. Shoes struck locker stalls like bullets.
